Barack Obama and John McCain on Long-Term Care Financing

Tonight is
the second debate of
the presidential candidates.àIt will be a town-hall forum.àWouldnâÂÂt it be nice if one of
the citizens - or Tom Brokaw (
the NBC moderator living fully after 50) asked about
the candidatesâ ideas on
the future of financing long-term care and aging services in America?HereâÂÂs a question that
aarp magazine recently put to
the two candidates:How would you shift long-term care services and financing so that people can afford to stay in

McCainâÂÂs Health Care Plan to Cut $1.3 Trillion From Medicare/Medicaid

HeâÂÂs toastâ¦â¦ when seniors hear about this, heâÂÂs toast. Or so youâÂÂd think. People in this country have a tendency to vote against
their own best interests. This does explain one thing to me, though. I receive
the aarp magazine. In
the last two issues
theyâÂÂve published answers to questionnaire sent to
the two candidates regarding issues that concern seniors. McCain did not, and has not, responded. Barack Obama responded in both issues. LetâÂÂs see an Obama ad about this hit
